- Title
-
Tsuruoka, Yamagata prefecture “Kibiso”
- Summary
The first thread that silkworms spit out when they make cocoons is called kibiso. Because of its uneven thickness and hardness, it has never been used as a raw silk fiber, but it has been used for skin care products because it does have abilities of excellent moisture retention, UV absorption, and antioxidant properties. “Kibiso”, a silk product with a natural and three-dimensional appearance was created using kibiso. In the video, “kibiso”is cute and humorous, and we introduced its origins and charms with silkworms in the form of “kibiso”.
